The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) offers two scholarship programs that can support your education: the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) and the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP).

Both EDSP and ODSP applications for School Year 2025–2026 will be accepted from July 16 to July 31, 2025.

🎓 EDSP Category 2: For 2nd to 5th Year College Students

Who Can Apply?

• Children or siblings of active OWWA members

• Must be incoming 2nd to 5th year college students for SY 2025–2026

Qualifications:

• Must be single

• Not over 30 years old

• Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85% or its equivalent with no failing grades

• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university in the Philippines

Scholarship Benefit:

• Financial assistance of ₱60,000.00 per year

Requirements:

• Proof of identity:

  • OFW: Copy of valid passport (bio or info page)

  • Dependent: Valid school ID or any government ID, and birth or baptismal certificate

• Academic records:

  • Grades from SY 2023–2024 or 2024–2025 (Form 137, Form 10 [TOR], Form 138, or Certificate of Grades)

🎓 ODSP Category 1: For Incoming 1st Year College Students

Who Can Apply?

• Children or siblings of active OWWA members

• Must be incoming 1st year college students for SY 2025–2026

Qualifications:

• Must be single

• Not over 21 years old

• The OFW parent/sibling must have a monthly salary of USD $1,000 or below

• Must have a GWA of at least 75%

• Must be enrolled in a Philippine-based college/university

Scholarship Benefit:

• Financial assistance of ₱20,000.00 per year

Requirements:

• Proof of identity (same as EDSP)

• Proof of OFW income:

  • OEC, payslip, employment certificate, or any official document proving salary or employment status

🎓 ODSP Category 2: For 2nd to 5th Year College Students

Who Can Apply?

• Children or siblings of active OWWA members

• Must be incoming 2nd to 5th year college students for SY 2025–2026

Qualifications:

• Must be single

• Not over 30 years old

• OFW’s monthly salary must be USD $1,000 or below

• Must have at least 75% GWA

• Must be enrolled in a college/university in the Philippines

Scholarship Benefit:

• Financial assistance of ₱20,000.00 per year

Requirements:

• Proof of identity (same as EDSP and ODSP Category 1)

• Proof of OFW income (OEC, payslip, employment certificate, etc.)

• The identity of the OFW and dependent will be verified via the Membership Processing System (MPS).

• The Benefits Availment Program (BAP) will check if other family members are already availing of OWWA scholarships.

• If submitted documents are incomplete, the OWWA Regional Welfare Office (RWO) may request additional documents.
